Many people as they leave one job and go onto the next, leave their 401(k) monies at their old employer instead of moving them to their new employer or rolling them over into a self-directed retirement account. Given the new beneficiary provisions provided by the Pension Protection Act of 2006 it may be a good time to consolidate those multiple 401(k) accounts.
